i think that halo 2 was definately overated because the story was very fun but after i beat it i had nothing else to do because i dont waste my money playing online on any games. so unless you love playing games online you should not swap for this game.

I think this is the best game on xbox. there are games i like better on other systems though. First of all i like most FPS games, and it has a good story to go along with the game, its not just random things that you have to do. i like almost all of the multiplayer maps (I don't like Waterworks). This is much better than Halo 1 because of all of the new features that were added, like dual wielding weapons, hijacking vehicles, and playing as the enemies.

this was one of the best shooter games that were out. thats why i think that they are making halo 3. the guns are sweetand the rides that are in the game. the most part about halo 2 is the multiplayer mode on xbox live where you can play with all your friends. i also like this game because you can have a clan unlike most other shooter games. but to stay alive better i tried what another player said and i keeped my gun level and barely look at the ground. i also love this game because if you find someone that loves it alot and plays it nonstop when you want to play a friend on xbox live there usually there to play you. thats my review for halo 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i will never give halo 2 a bad review cuase after you beat the game you can always go online and play to have fun.

Ok so this game got some bad reviews because of story line!! yes it is short with not alot of Missions offering Huge Replayability!!! however multiplayer Rules even if you dont have live and i can speak from experiance cause i dont!!! if you love FPS or Video Games At all i would recommend this game!!!

Great multiplayer

This game is great enough to buy just for the multiplayer, since the campaign, although it is kinda fun, is too short and gets boring near the end. I play usually with only two other friends, since I don't have Xbox live, and it's still very cool.It is really fun to start sniping noobs off ghosts and watching someone getting stuck with a plasma grenade.

Thunderstorm mode

On the level "Cario Station" on legendary, make your way to the "Priority Shift" checkpoint. Progress until the room with mounted plasma turrets, right after the armory with the Elites. Clear out this room, and get on the raised area with the plasma turret that is on the side of the wall where the window curves. Look for two parallel beams on the ledge above. Climb up the supports for these beams and crouch jump up onto the upper ledge, then onto the beams themselves. Walk in the direction you came from and there will be a small ledge sticking out to the left, jump on it and pick up the Thunderstorm Skull from inside the trash container. This turns all Covenants into their spec ops rank.

At the begining "Armory" wait in the room until the Sarge starts telling you to get into the elevator. You MUST wait for him to say "Would it help if I said please?" When he says this, get into the elevator and go down to the tram. Get on the tram and face towards the INSIDE of the building. Press up against the glass doors towards the inside of the building. You should hold 'X' down, and you should pick up the skull. It's on a stack of green crates, near the end of the tram ride.

Hold 3 pistols

First Go to a level that you can get three pistols on, such as outskirts. Go pick up a pistol. Then swith to your second weapon and pick up dual weapon, such as two smg's. Go to another pistol and press x to pick it up. Now you have a pistol in you secondary and first slots. Now you can go pick up a third pistol and set it to your left hand(Press Y to do this). You can get up to 144 AMMO! with three 96 ammo with the two and just 49 with one.

I personally like halo 2 a lot more than halo 1. I do have one major complaint, though. I miss being able to have non-destructible vehicles. It was fun in halo 1 to park a bunch of warthogs in the door of a base and run away with the flag on capture the flag games. This game is awesome, though. Cant wait till halo 3!

To date, this is the best FPS in my opinion. Although most hardcore FPS fans swear by keyboard and mouse, I think the success of this franchise has paved the way for the FPS to conquer consoles. This game may not have as much innovation as the original halo but I think the slight improvements in graphics, gameplay and the addition of online multiplayer edges the original and makes this the best FPS ever. I've heard some say gears of war surpassed halo but I disagree. This is a must have if you do not have a 360 yet.

A Golden Halo

I remember in 2004 waiting in line for hours at Gamestop at midnight to get my hands on this game. Every second was worth. This game delivers smooth controls, addictive gameplay, stunning visuals (at the time), an unforgettable story, and amazing multiplayer which still happens to be one of the most popular game on XBOX LIVE. The sound is great, and the soundtrack definitly gets a perfect 10. The only two complaints I have is that there is no online co-op, and the story leaves you hanging, thank goodness Halo 3 is coming out soon, This is a great game that every gamer should get. This is easily one of the greatest games ever.

Awsome Game!!!

You have to be crazy not to own this game. Even if you have an Xbox 360, this is one game you need to complete your collection. Also, I would suggest that you have Xbox Live if you're going to get this game, because Campaign gets boring after awhile. This is one of the best looking games for regular Xbox. Xbox Live play is a blast. Only problem with Xbox Live though is the ammount of cheaters who moddify their Xbox. With a modded Xbox, these cheaters spawn kill, run faster than usual, have unlimmited ammunition, and more. Theres also a glitch called superjumping, which is where you can get into spots you can'y normally get into. That's the only problems with the game, every thing else is great!

Halo 2

Technically the game is way better in every way. The graphic are improved greatly. But I am annoyed that they took away the assault rifle and pistol, but I love the new battle rifle and dual wielding abilties, plus the needler isn't completely worthless anymore. The one thing that I hated was the fact you had to play the Arbiter as well as Master Chief. I want to be a 1 ton super solider not a hunched back alien. My one other problem is that it gets boring at some points in the game. It just doesn't keep you glue to your seat like Halo did. Overall great game blast to play though boring at times. great sequel

the first halo was incredible, so this game had very high expectations. i thought everything in this game was just as good or better than the original halo, except for one thing. They took away the assault rifle! It was the sickest weapon ever! i will never understand what the creators were thinking when they woke up one morning and said "hey! I have an idea! lets take out the assault rifle for halo 2!" I liked the battle rifle, but there's no way it could replace the assault rifle

Ok, best game ever made for Xbox (best game ever is Bio-Shock). Split screen is great, campaign is great, online is great. EVERYTHING IS GREAT! You are put into the helmet of Master Chief, the spartan. He is humanity's only hope. Destroy the Covenant! The only bad part about this game is the excesive number of bullets it takes to down one of the Flood. Graphics are intense.

this is by far the #1 best game on the original xbox,this is game is like the final fantasy VII for the xbox,the intense multi player online combat is what made the first halo so infamous to were over 1 million copies of halo 2 were preorderd making it 1 of the best selling xbox games to date.halos story line is like no other game to were and the end it leaves you hanging to find out wtf is going to happen next and will do any thing to find out.IF YOU HAVE A XBOX THIS GAME IS A MUST HAVE FOR ALL FIRST PERSON SHOOTER FANS.

I thought it was a great game. I vove dual-wielding especially the SMG and the charged plasma pistol. Except they took out the assualt rifle! i know they put in the battle rifle but the battle rifle isn't like the assualt rifle. But this game is a good sequel and any halo 1 fans should buy

I'm not fan but that is because I am also a PC gamer and PC FPS are way better then console FPS. If you want to play a great FPS pick up Battlefield 1, 2, 2142. All three are much better then any of the Halo series games.

Halo 2 is amazing. The SP is fun, and a real ride, and the MP is insane.

The drawbacks are that the SP is short, and the graphics aren't quite what they could be, but the PROs of the game still outweigh the cons.

Halo revolutionized game weaponry and gameplay with recharging shields, 2 weapon limit, and now Halo 2 adds dual weilding and advanced vehicle support.

Buy it today.

The Xbox community has endured lengthy delays waiting for the most anticipated game of 2004 and all of them want to know if it was worth the wait. Receiving the actual, final build of this game for review was as terrifying a prospect as I had ever encountered during my years as a game journalist. The worst fear being "What if I just didn't like it?"

A game that is surrounded by incredible amounts of buzz, hype and anticipation by journalists, fanboys and casual gamers alike, isn't an easy thing to critique. If you're too hard on it, your fellow journalists will brand you a moron and work will cease to come your way. If you're too easy on it, others will call you a lightweight fanboy with no critical barometer and if you decide the game is so-so, both sides will think you're a complete dumbass. So what is a game journalist to do when faced with reviewing a game that could literally change your employment status? You just dive in and let your raw instincts and emotions kick in, as if you had never heard of Halo before. While that sounds great in theory, let me tell you that it doesn't really work all that well.

I'm what you might call a Halo fanboy because I kind of, sort of, read the Halo novel that filled in the holes of the first game and actually bridges a gap between the first Halo and Halo 2. It's not a prerequisite but it's nice to see Bungie's commitment to creating a living breathing Halo universe, not unlike George Lucas' Star Wars.

Single Player Campaign
With my love of Halo out in the open, inserting the Halo 2 disc into the Xbox was like a religious experience quite truthfully. Like many of you I was dying to get into the multiplayer experience but I was told that the single player campaign was my first stop on the map. Since I have been a regular on Gamespy's Halo multiplayer arenas since the inception of that genius inspired little exploit, I figured I could wait a couple more days before I took the game online. Little did I know then, that a dozen hours later I'd be finished the Halo 2 campaign mode on Normal.

A lot has been written about the multiplayer aspects of Halo 2, but the single player campaign was virgin territory, hence my excitement to sink my teeth in. Everything you loved about the Halo can be found within the walls of the second game and that also goes for everything you didn't care for. The worst moments in the original Halo involved wandering through identical areas, completely lost and wondering how the heck to advance. Halo 2 continues the tradition set forth in the first game which consisted of explore the area, battle a wave of enemies, explore, get lost, battle a wave of enemies, repeat. In my heart of hearts I found that to be disappointing as I was hoping for a little more creativity, and I level this criticism mostly at the interior settings of Halo 2. One of the greatest shooter games out there if not the greatest. If you are a big fan of killing aliens, robots, or your friends this is the game for you. Powerful weapons, more vehicles, challenging missions, coop, and multiplayer this game has everything and will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire game. WARNING: VERY ADDICTIVE!!!!!

After Halo 2 came out I was on my xbox all day long, just trying to beat it so I could find out what happens. This is probably the best game of the trilogy, because it has a good storline and more action. The multiplayer on this game is good, ecspecially if you know good sniper hideouts. So if you think this game isn't that great please shut your mouth.

For the record, i hate this game. I love Bungie and almost everything else they've done, but this game disappointed me from day one, since 11/9/2004

The Single player felt alright when i first picked it up, didn't feel like the Halo i remember. It was too easy to shoot, snipe, hit vehicles with rockets, plasma pistol/br combo. Their was more auto aim. Go to <Halo2sucks.com> to watch the video in the difference from Halo to Halo 2

In the second installment of the halo universe, didn't finish the fight obviously. Left it wide open like a "__________", insert your own funny mark that might sound wrong in a lot of ways.

I can't play the games for 5 minutes without getting irritated. You might say i suck, but i have never played Halo 2 all the way through on Legendary. I could play Halo every level by myself on Legendary and never die.

I beat Cairo Station and the last level on Legendary and that was all i could stand.

A new enemy has been brought into the game, called the brute. They are easily able to piss off if u kill their companion, and will go into a rage until you are dead...or they die of course.

Multiplayer has the problem of not being able to pick ur own gametype, level, and people not on ur friend list. No dedicated servers to play on and is always a race for the super weapons/or best weapon on the level of the game.

Frankly this is my least favorite game out of the three of them. I seriously wouldn't recommend it unless you were playing it just for the story and then discarding it afterwards, but just try to stay away.

I really don't see the big deal people make out about this game, it was ok to me. If anyone prefers the Marines over any branch of our Armed Forces, then they are gonna love this! I on the other hand thought the game was a bit repetative. All you do in the whole game is basically run down a path and shoot people along the way. I don't know what they could add to make it sweeter but, it really could use somthing to spice it up!

The most epic storyline to hit this console. The graphics, gameplay, and multiplayer are all revolutionary to the FPS genre. There have been books written in junction with these games, I suggest you read them.

How can you not love this game? I still like the first one better, but being able to dual wield is just cool as hell. The Halo series completely revolutionized the first person shooter. Only carrying two guns, and being exclusive on a gaming console. If not for Halo, we might still be paying 2 grand for a decent pc as opposed to $199 for a 360.
